Reduced Absenteeism & Disability Time

 

A recent study by American Sports Data found that on average, frequent exercisers were absent form work only 2.11 days a year, compared to 3.06 for inactive individuals. Researchers believe that exercise helps boost the immune system and increases strength, thus resulting in fewer incidences of absenteeism due to sickness or injury.

Although not as easy to measure as a reduction in healthcare costs, improved employee productivity can have a considerable impact on an organization and its profitability. Corporate wellness programs tend to improve overall morale, as participating associates feel better about themselves and their company. Such programs lead to a more energetic, positive and productive workplace, thus strengthening a company and helping to position it for success.

Lower Turnover

 

Healthy associates are happy associates; and happy workers almost always turn out to be faithful, long term employees. So the healthier and happier the work force, the less a company has to spend on hiring and training new personnel. The most obvious benefit of a corporate wellness program is that it allows companies to reduce their overall healthcare costs, in part by reducing the number of medical claims that they have to field each year. The U.S. Surgeon General reports that 75% of all illness can be attributed to lifestyle related causes, and that 53% of American’s population is “inactive”. What both the business community and the population-at-large need, of course, is exercise. Thousands of studies confirm that regular exercise has a protective effect against a wide variety of illness and disease. It only stands to reason that the more a business can help its associates avoid illness and disease, the more it can save on healthcare costs each year.

A monthly pin board strategically placed in a high volume area (i.e. fitness center, meeting room or lunch room).

Biggest Loser (Weight Loss Challenge)


Individual, pair or threesome teams to be predetermined.


  • 8-12 week weight loss challenge
  • Group meetings twice a month (hosted onsite by My FitLife Personal Training) & 20-30 minute discussion of accomplishments and struggles followed by team weigh-ins
  • Winner determined on total % of team weight loss
  • Email updates will be sent out to those who subscribe to motivate the rest of the staff

My FitLife Personal Training Nutrition and Fitness Seminars

 

One of our Master Trainers will do a 30-60 minute presentation series that will be customized for your employees. They will provide nutritional information, exercise information and door prizes to motivate your staff. At the end of our presentation we will have a short “Question and Answer” for your team. Motivate your staff to be healthier so they can be much more productive at work!

Topics can be over basic nutrition, reading nutrition labels, healthy foods on the go, resistance training vs. how people are currently training, functional training, training on a budget and other fitness trends.
